How to use this workflow

  1. Load and preview the source

Choose a supported mono or stereo file and listen to a passage with gaps. Those gaps make it easier to hear the decay and repeats.

  2. Choose a room and adjust the mix

Start with Small Room, Medium Room, Large Hall, Cathedral, Plate or Spring. Adjust the reverb controls and, if needed, enable delay and set its time, feedback and mix.

  3. Render the complete tail

Generate the effect after your final changes. Compare source and result, including the ending, then download WAV or MP3. A new setting requires a new generated result.

Choose settings for clarity

Wet mix determines how much effect is blended with the dry signal. A longer decay leaves more sound after each note. Pre-delay creates a short gap before the reverb begins, which can help separate the initial attack from the reflections.

Delay time controls the interval between repeats; feedback controls how much repeats again. For a quarter-note starting point, divide 60 by BPM to get seconds: at 120 BPM, one beat is 0.5 seconds. Enter settings manually; this example is arithmetic, not automatic tempo synchronization.

Why the output may be longer or quieter

The renderer includes additional time for reverb and delay tails. Long decay or high feedback settings increase output duration and memory use. If a render exceeds the browser’s memory budget, shorten the source or reduce the effect.

When summed samples would overload, the renderer can reduce the output gain. This protects the generated samples but can make the whole result quieter. The room presets use synthesized impulse responses; their names are sound-design descriptions, not recordings of specific physical venues or hardware.

Common questions

Can reverb repair a noisy recording?

No. It can also spread the noise into the tail. Begin with a cleaner source when possible and compare at a similar listening level.

Can I add reverb without slowing the recording?

Yes. This page adds reverb and delay without a speed control. Use Slowed + Reverb when you want a linked pitch and speed change as well.
